ilxButton Panel is an addin that allows Inventor's user interfaced to be customized using iLogic rules. Two new interfaces are added to the Inventor UI. A side button panel and a ribbon tab ilxButtons. Buttons can be added to the side panel, and any standard ribbon control can be added to the ilxButtons ribbon tab. The controls added can fire iLogic rules or modify document parameters. The user interface can be customized on a general level and/or a per document basis to progress through design workflows. Controls can also be added for global use to run any iLogic rules. ilxButton Panel allows iLogic to be used as a richer scripting environment without users having to manually run rules, or relying solely on the use of the iTrigger.
The side button panel operates the same in both modes with no change to display, functionality or layout.
On the ribbon tab, after the 30 day trial, if the addin has not been activated any control can still be used and no functionality is lost. However the control's appearance and layout in the ribbon will change. Seperators and custom named panels will not be displayed. All controls will be added only to the document and global panels, however any named panel can still be specified. All controls will be displayed as a button or popup button and all buttons are displayed as large buttons. ComboBoxes are converted to popup buttons; popup, MRU, and toggle buttons are expanded into individual buttons grouped on the panel. Custom images on the buttons will not be loaded but replaced with the default button images.
Customize the ribbon using only iLogic rules. Ribbons can be customized on a globally, per document, or per document type.
Ribbon controls can fire iLogic rules and set document parameter values. They can be enabled or disabled through rules. iLogic rules can be used for scripting Inventor and made accessible on the ribbon.
Buttons, push buttons, toggle buttons and dropdowns can be created with ease using iLogic rules.
In addition to customizing the ribbon, buttons can be added to a side panel that can be, shown, hidden and removed buttons by iLogic rules dynamically, or automatically when a document is opened.
Buttons can be added globally or per document. Button visibility can be set inside of any rule. The rules fired by the buttons can be internal document rules or external rules.
